Sub:- Request for change of working hours of Post Offices in the district of Ganjam / Chhatrapur - reg
Respected Sir,
This is to bring your kind notice that the Collector and District Magistrate, Ganjam has ordered for complete shutdown of the entire district of Ganjam from 12 Noon to 7 AM daily till further orders vide his Notification No. 1077, dated 04.04.2020 to adopt strict social distancing and isolation measures to contain spread of COVID-19.
A copy of the above Notification is attached here with for kind reference.
As such, it is requested kindly to instruct the PMG, Berhampur and concerned Divisional Heads to change the working hours of all the Post and RMS Offices now functioning in the district of Ganjam suitably so that all the postal employees and workers can reach their residence by 12 Noon.
In this context, we would like to suggest to run the post offices from 8 AM to 11 AM daily till withdrawal of the above orders.
A line of reply on the nature of action taken is highly solicited.
